Upper Klamath Lake is a large freshwater lake located in south-central Oregon, United States. It is the largest body of water in the Klamath Basin, with a surface area of about 81 square miles and a maximum depth of 60 feet. Upper Klamath Lake is fed by several small streams and rivers, and drained by the Klamath River, which flows into the Pacific Ocean. The lake is surrounded by wetlands and is home to a variety of fish and wildlife, including endangered species such as the Lost River sucker and the shortnose sucker. It is also a popular destination for fishing, boating, and birdwatching.
